Lucknow: Taking stern actions over the Bahujan Samaj Party’s (BSP) poor show in the Lok Sabha elections, party supremo Mayawati has sacked the election coordinators of 8 states including Odisha.
Mayawati also removed the coordinators of Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Odisha.
The BSP state presidents of Delhi and Madhya Pradesh have also been removed from their posts, media reports stated.
Notably, the Mayawati-led party did not win a single seat in these states.
She has convened a meeting of office bearers from Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh in Delhi on Monday.
Mayawati will review the performance of BSP in Uttar Pradesh where the party contested the Lok Sabha election in alliance with the SP and the RLD.
The alliance managed to secure victory in 15 seats — the BSP won 10 and the SP five.
