Manguli Jena murder case: Crime Branch arrests Five

Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough for the Odisha police, the Crime Branch has arrested five accused in connection with the murder of Khurdha BJP Mandal president Manguli Jena.

The accused are reportedly been named as Divya Lochan Gajendra, Seemanchal Badjena, Papin Dalasinghray, Chandrakant Pradhan, and Ispat Maharana.

The Crime Branch may move court seeking remand of these accused for more interrogation, sources said.

All the accused belong to Nirakarpur area of Khurdha. They are involved in several criminal cases which are pending in different police stations.

Manguli was gunned down by the accused at around 11.15 pm on April 14 while he was returning from a poll campaign. He was murdered in front of his party office near Nabinbag in Khurdha.
