Berhampur: In a significant development, BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik has revoked the expulsion order of former Kodola NAC chairman and popular youth leader Hara Prasad Sahu.
The announcement came barely few hours after the completion of second phase of elections in Kabisurya Nagar assembly constituency under Aska parliamentary seat in Ganjam district.
As per sources, Sahu, the former chairman of Kodola NAC, worked very hard for the BJD during the elections, even though he does not belong to any party.
Inspired by the leadership of Naveen Patnaik, the youth leader had campaigned extensively for the MP and MLA candidates of BJD during the elections.
Satisfied with his dedication towards BJD, Naveen Patnaik has withdrawn the expulsion order of Sahu, sources said.
Sahu was also appointed as Co-Observer for Begunia Assembly constituency with immediate effect by the BJD supremo.
Hara Prasad has expressed his gratitude to Naveen Patnaik for re-induction into the BJD fold and vowed to work for the BJD.
As the news of Sahu’s becoming BJD fold was made public, thousands of his supporters marched to his residence in a grand procession to greet him.
