Odisha CM Condemns Murder of BJP Leader in Khordha District, Says No Place for Violence in Democracy

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today condemned the murder of BJP Mandal chief Manguli Jena in Khordha District and said that there is no place for violence in democracy.

The Chief Minister directed the police to take stringent action against the culprits.

The Chief Minister also insisted the Election Commission to take the matter serious and direct the police to take strong action so that such incidents don’t take place in future.


Naveen expressed grief and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.

As per reports, Jena was killed after being shot by two bike-borne miscreants on late Sunday night near district BJP office in Nabinabag area.


Jena was also former Sarpanch of Badapokharia.
