New Delhi: More trouble in store for the Anil Ambani as French newspaper claimed that his group was given tax relief in France at the time of NDA Rafael negotiations.
According to reports, the French government had waived off 143.7 million euros in taxes in favour of Anil Ambani’s France-based telecom company called “Reliance Atlantic Flag France”.
The tax was waived off just months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced plans to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets from Dassault Aviation.
French journalist Julien Bouissou tweeted: “Six months after Modi’s Rafale announcement, the French tax authorities accepted 7.3 million euros from Reliance as a settlement, instead of the much bigger sum of 151 million euros.”
The Congress has been cornering Modi dispensation over the Rafale deal.
