Jaipur: Even after the poll panels instructions not to use armed forces works in election campaigning, the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates are in no mood to listen. The sitting MP from Jaipur Ramcharan Bohra put up posters in the city that depicted a jawan and read “Jai HInd Ki Sena”.
While the MP said that the posters were meant to congratulate the forces, it did not go well with the ECI. The commission took it as violation of model code of conduct and instructed the district collector to remove the posters immediately.
Bohra had put up hundreds of posters in the city junctions that contained messages and photos of armed forces. While Bohra’s ticket is not confirmed, he is trying to take advantage by using the armed forces photos. However, the party has distanced itself from the issue. This has given the Congress an issue to attack the BJP.
