New Delhi: At least nine people were killed and several others were injured in a major fire broke out at a hotel in Delhi this morning.
The mishap occurred at Hotel Arpit Palace in Karol Bagh area of the national capital, media reports said.
Seven men, a woman and a child died in the blaze, while nine people were injured, said the Fire Services Department.
As per reports, there were sixty people in the hotel when the fire broke out from the fourth floor of the hotel and spread till the second floor, while the ground floor and basement remained unaffected.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, however it seems to be a short circuit, sources said.
