New Delhi: A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi was greeted with black flags in Assam during his visit to the State, a similar unpleasant situation has been witnessed in Andhra Pradesh, the key southern state Modi is touring today as part of the BJP’s pool campaigns.
As per media reports, posters and banners reading “Go Back Modi" have come up in Andhra Pradesh ahead of the BJP heavyweight’s visit to the State.
The photos of these posters are being shared extensively on social media and became instant hits with the hashtag #GoBackModiAndhra was among the top trends on twitter in India this morning.
Modi is portrayed in a caricature in one of the posters. This poster is doing rounds of social media.
In the poster, the PM is seen running away from crowds that are protesting against him with slogans like #NoMoreModi and #ModiIsAMistake. 'Modi never again' is written on the top the prime minister's caricature.
The BJP has been trying hard to build its base in Andhra Pradesh ever since Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s Telugu Desam Party (TDP) snapped ties with the saffron party and exited the alliance with NDA last year.
