Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader and Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan exposed himself in the Laxmidutta Pradhan murder case, said the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) here on Friday.
Even though, Pradhan had not admitted his role in the killing of the BJD councilor of Chhatrapur municipality in 2017, but his absurd and suspicious replies exposed many things, said Health, Law and Information & Public Relations Minister Pratap Jena in a press statement.
Jena had asked the Union Minister to answer as to who had booked rooms in a guest house in Uttarakhand for the accused persons.
The BJD leader also asked Pradhan to answer who had patronized and motivated the killers of the late Chhatrapur councilor and admitted them in the BJP at the mishrana parba in Ganjam District.
In reply to these questions, Pradhan on Friday told media that he is ready to face police inquiry if there is any evidence.
“If I am guilty, send me to jail”, he said.
If Pradhan has the courage to face the truth, then he should reply to these questions instead of giving misleading and confusing statements, the BJD leader said.
Jena further said that he had asked the Union Minister a few days ago to answer why the latter had a nexus with gangster Tito and what were the motives behind the allotment of petrol pumps to the gangster and his family members.
Pradhan’s silence on it before the media shows his fear and helplessness, Jena said.
