Sambalpur: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended the regional conclave of Biju Yuva Vahini (BYV) at the Veer Surendra Sai stadium here today.
Addressing the BYV volunteers, the Chief Minister urged them to follow the principles of the great leader and freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Gopabandhu Das and Madhusudan Das to serve the society and people.
The Chief Minister also announced five development projects including expansion of Veer Surendra Sai stadium at the cost of Rs 3 crore.
More than 30,000 BYV volunteers from six districts attended the conclave.
Apart from them, over 5,000 students from different schools and colleges in Sambalpur district also attended the programme.
Earlier today, Naveen inaugurated several completed projects of the district, including the much-awaited second bridge over the Mahanadi river near Kacheri Chowk of Sambalpur town.
