State-Level Flower Show Kicks Off in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The two-day State-Level Annual Flower Show 2019 has kicked off from today in the premise of Botanical Garden of Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) Bhubaneswar.

The flower show is organised by the RPRC and Plant Lovers’ Association (PLA), with the support of NALCO and the Directorate of Horticulture, Odisha on second Saturday and Sunday of January every year.

A total of 26 nurseries have exhibited ornamental plants in the flower show. Apart from flowers and plants a separate ‘Bonsai’ section has been set up.

A ‘Plant Bazaar’ has been organised at the venue, where garden lovers can get garden tools, seeds, plants, pesticides, fertilisers, etc in reasonable price.

There will be competition in different categories like Potted Flowering, Cut Flower, Flower Arrangement, Bonsai, Gardening, Group Display, and Rangoli.

The organizers have received more than 500 numbers of entries in different categories. The winners of the competitions will be awarded prize and trophies in function to be held at 4 PM on Sunday.
