KALIA Scheme: Over 12.4 Lakh Farmers to Get Benefits from Jan. 26

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government will provide monetary assistance to beneficiaries of KALIA Scheme from January 26.

According to State Cooperation Minister Surya Narayan Patro, nearly 12.4 lakh farmers, who have already registered in the new scheme, will get the financial assistance from January 26.

The money will be directly credited to the bank accounts of the farmers, the Minister told the media.

The farmers, who are applying for enrollment in the KALIA Scheme during the extended deadline till January 15, will be verified by the officials concerned for authenticity, he added.
After getting the final list of the new applicants, the crop assistance money will be distributed, Patro said.

KALIA, which stands for Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation, has received an overwhelming response from the farming communities across the State ever since its launch on December 31 by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

KALIA Scheme is a comprehensive package for the welfare of the farmers and  development of the agricultural sector in Odisha.
