Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government's KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) scheme got an overwhelming response from the farming communities across the State ever since its launch with KALIA Barta registering more than 2.63 lakh farmers till date.
KALIA Barta, an innovative information service has been introduced by the State Government to disseminate information to farmers about the scheme.
As per official sources, over 20.08 lakh SMS were sent to people wanting to know about the KALIA Scheme. Around 26.10 lakh people have so far visited the website www.kalia.co.in to get more information about the innovative scheme.
The registration for KALIA Barta is very simple. The people just need to give a “missed call” to the Telephone No: 08061174222. They will be automatically registered with the Government database.
All information about KALIA Scheme will also be sent to the phone number through SMS and Voice Calls from time to time.
KALIA Scheme is a comprehensive package for the welfare of the farmers and development of the agricultural sector in Odisha.
The scheme was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the eve of New Year at the State Secretariat with an aim to boost the farming sector and reduce poverty.
