Former PM HD Deve Gowda Backs Naveen on Women Bill

Bhubaneswar: Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda today appreciated Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's initiative on 33% reservation for women in parliament and state legislatures.

The former PM spoke to the Odisha Chief Minister and extended his support on the initiative.

Gowda said that his party  the Janata Dal (Secular) will extend full support to the women’s reservation Bill.

The Odisha CM’s move for the women empowerment has received an overwhelming response from national as well as regional parties.
Earlier Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar announced his support to Patnaik’s initiative of 33% reservation for women.
