New Delhi: George H. W Bush, the former president of United States of America, died Friday at the age of 94, a statement from his family said.
He was admitted to the hospital with blood infection on 23 April.
Earlier, he was admitted to the hospital in May and June. He is the first former president to reach the age of 94.
The announcement of his passing was made in a statement by his son, former President George W. Bush.
“George W. Bush released a statement, saying for himself and his siblings, “Jeb Neil, Marvin, Doro and I are saddened to announce that after 94 remarkable years our dear Dad has died.”
The American politician served as the 41st President of United States from 1989-1993. Bush served as the Vice President of United States from 1981-1989.
